Martina was great! Our driver was well appointed and on time. For lunch they served mixed tapas with truffle condiments and truffle cheese, roasted peppers with the garlic sauce, fried egg with black truffle freshly shaved, homemade noodles with butter and fresh truffle, and a chocolate dessert. The types of truffles vary by season. The Alba white truffle (Tuber magnatum Pico) can be foraged from October to January. Other types of truffles, such as the summer black truffle (Tuber aestivum), the spring white truffle (Tuber borchii Vittadini), and the winter black truffle (Tuber Melanosporum and Tuber Uncinatum), have distinct seasons throughout the year. The purpose of the hunting experience is the same, regardless of the type of truffle that can be foraged.
